Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data ipnow does — and does not — collect when you use the site.
Last updated: July 3, 2026
1. Our approach
ipnow is built to be private by design. We show no ads, we run no advertising trackers, and we never store or log your IP address on our servers. This page explains exactly how your information is handled.
2. Your IP address
When you visit ipnow, your public IP address is processed only to display it back to you and to look up its approximate location and ISP. We do not save your IP address to a database or log file, and we do not associate it with your identity.
Geolocation and ISP details are retrieved from third-party lookup providers so we can show your approximate city, region and network. We do not sell or share this data.
3. Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate, anonymized usage of the site — for example, how many people visit, which pages are viewed, and general trends over time. This helps us understand what is useful and improve ipnow.
Google Analytics may set cookies and collect information such as your browser type, device, referring page and general (city-level) location derived from your IP address. This data is processed by Google in accordance with its own policies. We do not use it to personally identify you, and we do not combine it with your IP lookup results.
You can learn more about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Cookies
The only cookies ipnow relies on come from Google Analytics, as described above. We also use your browser's local storage to remember your light or dark theme preference — this stays on your device and is never sent to us.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Data is only processed by the third-party services described in this policy (IP geolocation providers and Google Analytics) strictly to operate and improve the Service.
6. Children's privacy
ipnow is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
8. Contact
