PS4 gaming and your IP address
What PSN and other players can see, and how to protect your connection.
What PlayStation Network sees
PSN sees your public IP for matchmaking and services. In most games, player traffic is relayed through Sony's servers, so your IP is not directly shared with other players.
We never log it
ipnow shows no ads and runs no trackers. We never store or log your IP address on our servers. Geolocation and ISP details are fetched from privacy-respecting third-party providers.
Protecting your PS4 connection
If targeted by DDoS attacks, request a new IP from your ISP or route your PS4 through a VPN-capable router. NAT Type 3 also blocks incoming P2P connections at the cost of some features.
